राष्ट्र सुरक्षा की नीतियों पर सवाल

मालवीय नगर स्थित अणुविभा केन्द्र में स्वामी विवेकानंद सार्द्धशती समारोह में वक्ताओं ने राष्ट्र की सुरक्षा को लेकर सरकार की नीतियों पर सवाल उठाए। वक्ताओं ने कहा कि सरकार में मजबूत इच्छाशक्ति की कमी है, इसीलिए हम पाकिस्तान और चीन जैसे देशों को जवाब नहीं दे पा रहे हैं। सरकार वार्ताओं में उलझी है।

सुबह 10 बजे हुई कार्यक्रम की शुरूआत में सेवानिवृत्त ले. जनरल सुमेर सिंह ने कहा कि देश के अंदर नक्सलवाद, आतंकवाद जैसी समस्याएं हैं। सेवानिवृत्त ले. जनरल डी. बी. शेखटकर ने कहा कि देश में बाहरी खतरे आंतरिक कमजोरी की वजह से आते हैं। मेजर जनरल जी.डी. बक्शी ने कहा कि सेना को 50-60 साल पुराने हथियार सौंपकर मरने के लिए धकेला जा रहा है। रक्षा बजट में लगातार कटौती की जा रही है। ऎसी परिस्थितियां देश के लिए खतरनाक हैं। संगोषी प्रभारी प्रो. भरतराम कुम्हार ने उद्घाटन समारोह में स्वामी विवेकानंद के जीवन दर्शन के बारे में बताया। कार्यक्रम का समापन रात 10 बजे सांस्कृतिक प्रस्तुति के साथ हुई।

Vivekananda had vision of oneness

He had a deep understanding of both eastern and western philosophies’ India, with its “vision of oneness” is the only country that can “awaken the world”. This was the vision of Swami Vivekananda, who studied both eastern and western philosophies and had a deep understanding of them, said Vivekananda Kendra (Kanyakumari) all-India vice-president Kumari Nivedita Bhide. A dedicate life-worker (Jeevanvrati), she is known to all as Nivedita Didi. Addressing students of Siddhartha Mahila Kalasala as part of a programme organised to celebrate Swami Vivekananda’s 150 birth anniversary, she said that Swami Vivekananda had the Vision of Oneness after his travel to different countries. According to the vision, everything was interconnected, inter-dependent, and inter-related. Science too had accepted this. India was the only country where God was not limited by form or space. The vision of oneness was a celebration of diversity, where ‘part’ should contribute to the harmony of the whole, she said quoting Swami Vivekananda. She said it was because of this vision of oneness Swami Vivekananda did not feel any anger or hatred for people in the United States, even though they ill treated him because of his dress. “Indian dharma is based not on personality, but on principles,” Ms. Nivedita said. Every person in the audience stood up and kept clapping until the organisers requested them, after Swami Vivekananda began his speech with “Sisters and brothers of America.” When asked why they spontaneously stood up and clapped, many said they felt the words had touched their hearts. Many even felt a form of current pass through them when he uttered these five worlds, she revealed. Birth anniversary celebration committee secretary N. Vinaya Kumar and Mahila Kalasala principal T. Vijayalakshmi were on the dais.

Vice President to unveil Swami Vivekananda Statue

Vice President Hamid Ansari will unveil the statue of Swami Vivekananda to be installed in the Kowdiar park here on September 11.

According to sources in Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari, which is in charge of setting up the statue, the Vice President has consented to unveil the statue being installed as part of the year-long country-wide observance of the 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.

The 9.5-feet tall bronze statue and the ‘mandapam’, in which the statue will be placed, are being made in the sculptors village of Mahabalipuram near Chennai.

The unveiling of the statue on September 11  will also coincide with the anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s historic Chicago address.

Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Corporation  donated the land in Kowdiar Park to   Vivekananda Kendra and the Birth Anniversary Committee as a mark of the city’s adoration and respect to one of the country’s greatest spiritual leaders of all time.

The statue, along with the specially designed mandapam, will be installed at a cost of Rs one crore.

Various organisations and individuals have come forward to contribute to the installation.

The State Government had allocated a budgetary provision of Rs 15 lakh for the project.

Various media organisations have also come forward to support the project.

However, Vivekananda Kendra sources said that they required more money to complete the project and was expecting donations for the noble cause.

The statue of Vivekananda is being installed here in view of the fact that he had spent nine days here, during his historic Kerala tour before proceeding to Kanyakumari.

कहानी कहो प्रतियोगिता : इन्दौर

दिनांक १४  जुलाई दोपहर 2.30 बजे स्वामी   विवेकानंद सार्ध शती समारेाह समिति द्वारा आयोजित "कहानी कहो प्रतियोगिता" के सेमीफाइनल में 102 चयनित प्रतियोगियों में से 95 प्रतियोगी शामिल हुए। ज्ञात रहे कि विगत कई दिनों से 33 स्थानों पर हुई कहानी कहो प्रतियोगिता में 600 बच्चों ने भाग लिया था जिसमें से सेमीफाइनल के लिए 102 प्रतियोगियों का चयन हुआ था। 6 वर्ष से 15 वर्ष तक की उम के बच्चों ने भाग लिया।

स्वामी   विवेकानंद  सार्ध शती समारोह समिति के प्रांत प्रचार प्रमुख श्री  नितिन तापडि़या ने बताया कि कार्यक्रम में बच्चों ने गौतम बुद्ध पर, चंद्रषेखर आजाद, हनुमानजी, विवेकानंद, रविन्द्रनाथ टैगोर, षिवाजी, महाराणा प्रताप, राजा षिवी, संत ज्ञानेष्वर, महाभारत, रामायण, सहित कई संतो व ग्रंथों की कहानियां व स्मरण सुनाये। 6 भागों में बच्चों की संख्या को विभाजित कर 12 निर्णायकों द्वारा प्रत्येक भाग से 3 बच्चों का चयन किया गया। प्रत्येक प्रथम बच्चे को 500 रूपये, द्वितीय स्थान के बच्चे को 300 रूपये एवं तृतीय स्थान पर आये बच्चे को 200 रूपये नगद पुरस्कार प्रदान किया गया। बच्चों के कहानी कहने का ढंग एंव भाव भंगिमायें अविस्मयरणीय थी। कई बच्चे मासूम सी भाषा में हिलते ढुलते कहानी सुनाते नजर आये तो कई जोश  भरी भाषा में संदेष देते नजर आये।
